PROJECT LINUS is a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need, through the gifts of NEW, HOMEMADE, WASHABLE blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers".

Project Linus was founded in 1995 by Karen Loucks of Denver, Colorado. As of April 30, 2008, Project Linus has 406 chapters in the United States that have donated close to 23,000,000 blankets. Parent's Magazine named Project Linus as one of the "10 Children's Charities That Deserve Your Support".
