Marlene Eggert is a docent at the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing, Michigan. Marlene bought the material that is used in the blankets on this page. She sent the material to her sister, Carol Thompson, who lives in Vero Beach, Florida during the winter. Carol took the material to her quilting club and the ladies of the Loose Goose Quilting Guild made the blankets.

When Carol and her granddaughter, Morgan, came to North Carolin in the summer, they brought the blankets and donated them to our Project Linus chapter. From Michigan to Florida to North Carolina to the arms of children. That is quite a quilt trip!
